PUBLIC NOTICE
Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Assiniboia intends to adopt
a bylaw under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw No. 01/14,
known as the Official Community Plan.
Proposed Bylaw 02/25
INTENT: The proposed Bylaw 02/25 will amend the Official Community Plan No.
01/14 by updating the Appendix “A” Future Land Use Map.
AFFECTED LAND: The affected land is legally described as Parcel A & Q, Plan
101297976, W1/2 10-8-30-W2M, proposed Commercial/Residential Subdivision dated
May 9, 2025 and signed by Scott Assie, R.P.P. The land is the 500 & 600 block of Third
Avenue West, Assiniboia, SK.
REASON: The reason for the amendment is to update Appendix “A” Future Land Use
Map with the removal of “Multi Family Residential District” on Third Avenue West as
shown as follows:
PUBLIC INSPECTION: The bylaw may be inspected by any persons at the Assiniboia
Town Office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday excluding
statutory holidays and online here. Copies are available at cost.
PUBLIC HEARING: Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 23rd at
6:30 p.m. at the Council Chambers in the Asaskan Complex at 131 Third Avenue West
to hear any person or group who wants to comment on the proposed bylaw. Council will
also consider written comments received at the hearing or that are delivered to the
undersigned at the Town Office by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
